Meteospazmil

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: 60 mg of an alverin of citrate and 300 mg of a simetikon.

Pharmacological properties:

Meteospazmil is the combined drug containing алверин, the spasmolysant making direct impact on smooth muscles of a digestive tract. Alverin is more effective remedy, than a papaverine, and causes the smaller number of side effects. The second active agent of drug is симетикон which, thanks to the physical properties, reduces gas generation and facilitates process of removal of gases of a digestive tract.

Indications to use:

Symptomatic treatment of the functional intestinal frustration which are followed by abdominal pains up to painful spasms, diarrhea with imperative desires to defecation, the meteorism strengthened by gas generation and accumulation of gases in a GIT. It is, mainly, an irritable colon. Drug is intended only for treatment of adults.

Route of administration and doses:

As a rule, accept on 1 capsule 2 — 3 р / days before food, during 3 — 4 weeks. Capsules accept inside entirely, without chewing, washing down with enough water.

Features of use:

It is necessary to be careful at emergence of the signs preceding intestinal impassability (nausea, vomiting, abdominal pains, a delay of gases and a chair).

Side effects:

Meteospazmil, as a rule, is well had by patients; side reactions meet seldom and are temporary. During treatment can appear: a headache, dryness in a mouth, nausea, weakness, dizziness and a lowering of arterial pressure. In exceptional cases there can be allergic skin rash.

Interaction with other medicines:

Cases of interaction of Meteospazmil with other medicines were not registered.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to any of drug components, intestinal impassability, pregnancy and feeding by a breast, children and teenagers up to 18 years.

Overdose:

There are no data on overdose.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not above 25 °C.
