Pharmacological properties:

The artichoke Sandoz belongs to means of a plant origin. Pharmacological properties of the drug Artichoke Sandoz are caused by action of a complex of biologically active agents which are a part of leaves of an artichoke of field (Cynara scolymus) — Cinorinum in combination with phenoacids, bioflavonoids and other substances have cholagogue, diuretic and hepatoprotective effect, promote decrease in content of urea in blood, improve exchange processes in an organism.

Indications to use:

Dispeptic frustration at functional disturbances of bile-excreting system; dyskinesia of biliary tract, chronic cholecystitis, chronic hepatitis.

Route of administration and doses:

To adults and children 12 years are aged more senior appoint on 1 tablet 3 times a day. A pill should be taken to or during food with enough liquid (for example 1 glass of water).
Duration of treatment is determined by the doctor depending on character and the course of a disease.
Usually the course of treatment makes 2–3 weeks.

Features of use:

If symptoms of a disease do not disappear after the first week of treatment or constantly recur, it is necessary to stop administration of drug and to see a doctor.
In the presence of stones in bilious channels drug is used only after consultation with the doctor.
Drug should not be used at acute diseases of kidneys.
Drug contains lactose therefore to patients with rare hereditary forms of intolerance of a galactose, insufficiency of lactase or a syndrome of glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption it is not necessary to apply it.
Drug contains sucrose that should be considered a sick diabetes mellitus.
Use during pregnancy or feeding by a breast. Experience of use of medicine during pregnancy and feeding by a breast is not enough therefore it should not be applied during this period.
Ability to influence speed of response at control of vehicles or other mechanisms. Does not influence.
Children. Drug is used for treatment of children aged 12 years are more senior.

Side effects:

From a GIT: very seldom — diarrhea, pain in an upper part of a stomach, nausea, heartburn.
Others: seldom — allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

The therapeutic effect of anticoagulants of coumarinic type (for example a fenprokumona, warfarin) can decrease that demands dose adjustment of these drugs.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to an artichoke and other plants of family of a thistle family (Astrov), or to any excipient of drug; impassability of biliary tract; heavy abnormal liver functions.

Overdose:

It is not described. At accidental overdose strengthening of side effects is possible.
Symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

Period of validity 3 years. To store at a temperature not above 30 °C. To store in the place, unavailable from children.
