Neotrizol

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 500 mg of an ornidazol, 100 mg of Miconazolum of nitrate, 100 mg of Neomycinum of sulfate, 3 mg of Prednisolonum.

Excipients: lactoses monohydrate, K-30 povidone, starch corn, talc, silicon dioxide colloid anhydrous, sodium krokhmalglikolit (type A), magnesium stearate.

Antimicrobic in a complex with corticosteroids the drug used in gynecology on local appointment.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The mechanism of action of an ornidazol is connected with disturbance of structure of DNA in microorganisms, sensitive to it. Drug easily gets into a microbic cell and, contacting DNA, breaks replication process. Ornidazol is active concerning Trichomonas vaginalis, Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia (Giardia intestinalis), and also anaerobic bacteria, such as Bacteroides and Clostridium spp., Fusobacterium spp. and anaerobic cocci.

Neomycinum — an antibiotic which concerns to group of aminoglycosides. Aminoglycosides have high activity concerning gram-negative, and also are effective concerning gram-positive bacteria. Neomycinum gets into structure of a bacterial cell at the expense of a producing abnormal proteins. These proteins block protein synthesis, bacteria, necessary for survival.

Miconazolum is antifungal means which is intended for topical treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis (moniliasis), it is effective concerning Candida vulvovaginalis.

Pharmacokinetics. At topical administration of an ornidazol concentration of this component of drug in vagina tissues considerably exceeds that, reached at peroral and in use, systemic action is not revealed; Neomycinum gets into structure of a bacterial cell due to production of abnormal proteins. These proteins block production of the proteins necessary for survival of bacteria. High activity of drug at topical administration is noted; Miconazolum at topical administration has selective toxicity for drozhzhepodobny mushrooms of the sort Candida; Prednisolonum for topical administration reduces expressiveness of symptoms of an inflammation including a hyperemia, systemic action is not recorded.

Indications to use:

Treatment of the gynecologic diseases, such as bacterial vaginosis and vaginitis caused by Candida albicans, and multi-infections (a trichomonad, a mephitic gangrene, including gardnerella and drozhzhepodobny mushrooms).

For the purpose of prevention before surgical treatment of gynecologic diseases, sanitation of a vagina before childbirth or abortion, before introduction of intrauterine contraceptives, before and after diathermocoagulation of erosion of a neck of uterus, before intrauterine inspections.

Route of administration and doses:

Enter deeply into a vagina on 1 tablet for the night, after introduction follows there are in a prone position not less than 15 min. The average duration of treatment — 8 days. Treatment is not interrupted during periods. It is necessary to continue to apply tablets even then when all symptoms of a disease disappeared. If after a 8-day course symptoms did not disappear, then treatment needs to be repeated.
With the preventive purpose drug is used within 8 days.

Introduction order
1. To arrange a vaginal tablet in the applicator.
2. To ship the applicator with a tablet in warm (30–40 °C) boiled water for several seconds.
3. To enter carefully the applicator with a tablet as it is possible more deeply in a vagina (better in a dorsal decubitus).
4. To enter a tablet into a vagina, having removed it from the applicator then to wash out the applicator warm soap water, to rinse and dry up.

Features of use:

Observation and frequent control of a condition of patients at use of system corticosteroids are necessary, at osteoporosis, AG or heart failure, at the serious emotional frustration existing or available in the anamnesis, a diabetes mellitus, tuberculosis, glaucoma, the myopathy caused by use of corticosteroids, a liver failure, epilepsy, stomach ulcer and a duodenum, a hypothyroidism, recently postponed myocardial infarction.

Though Neotrizol apply locally, system absorption is possible, especially at a vagina inflammation. Side effects are minimized at use of drug throughout the minimum time, besides, constant observation can be necessary for control of therapeutic effect of drug.

With care it is necessary to apply at patients with a heavy pseudoparalytic myasthenia, nonspecific colitis, a diverticulitis and a new intestinal anastomosis. Medical control at use of system corticosteroids is necessary.

Action and complications at newborns who were given birth by the women applying Neotrizol therefore at the solution of a question of use of drug for pregnant women it is necessary to weigh a ratio risk/advantage is not revealed. Corticosteroids in a small amount are allocated in breast milk therefore it is necessary to watch signs of oppression of function of adrenal glands.

Children. Do not apply.

Does not influence speed of response at control of vehicles and other mechanisms.

Side effects:

Neotrizol is non-toxic drug, does not cause a sensitization. Drug is well transferred by all patients. Seldom note spasms and a headache, irritation, an itch, burning, it is very rare — urticaria, rash on skin.

It is necessary to stop use of drug at hypersensitivity or irritation at use.

Interaction with other medicines:

Clinically significant interactions with other medicines are not revealed. System absorption of Prednisolonum should be taken into account at the expressed local inflammatory reaction.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components. Not to use drug at general or local infectious diseases, specific antibacterial therapy will not be appointed yet.

Overdose:

Due to the local effect of drug of manifestations of overdose it is not revealed.

Storage conditions:

To store in original packaging in places, unavailable to children, dry, at a temperature not above 25 degrees Celsius.
