General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 7,5 g of a ribavirin.

Excipients: glyceryl monostearate (глицерол monostearate 40-45) - 2,0 g, a macrogoal of the 6th cetostearyl alcohol ether (a macrogoal the 6th cetostearyl ether) - 1,5 g, a macrogoal of the 25th cetostearyl alcohol ether (a macrogoal the 25th cetostearyl ether) - 1,5 g, cetostearyl alcohol - 5,0 g, liquid paraffin (liquid paraffin) - 5,0 g, methylparahydroxybenzoate (methylhydroxybenzoate, methylparaben, нипагин) - 0,1 g, пропилпарагидроксибензоат (пропилгидроксибензоат, propylparaben, нипазол) - 0,02 g, the water purified - to 100 g.

Antiviral drug for topical administration.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Ribavirintrifosfat (RTF) is powerful inhibitor of an inozinmonofosfatdegidrogenaza (IMF-dehydrogenase), virus RNA polymerase and virus MRNK-guanililtransferaza. The inhibition of the last stops capping of MRNK that leads to considerable exhaustion of intracellular stocks of a guanozintrifosfat and inhibition of synthesis of virus RNA and protein. Ribavirin is also built in a virus genome, causing lethal mutations, with the subsequent decrease in pathogenicity of a virus. Ribavirin inhibits replication of new virions that provides decrease in virus loading, selectively inhibits synthesis of virus RNA, without suppressing synthesis of RNA in normally functioning cells.

The DNA viruses, most sensitive to ribavirin, - a herpes simplex virus, adenoviruses, TsMV, viruses of group of smallpox, Marek's disease; RNA viruses - influenza viruses And, In, paramyxoviruses (a parainfluenza, epidemic parotitis, the Newcastle disease), reoviruses, arenavirusa (a virus of fever of Lass, the Bolivian hemorrhagic fever), bunyavirusa (the Valley fever virus the Rift, the Crimea-Congo virus of hemorrhagic fever), hantavirusa (a virus of hemorrhagic fever with a renal or pulmonary syndrome), oncogenous RNA viruses.

DNA viruses, insensitive to ribavirin: Varicella zoster, virus of pseudo-rage, natural vaccinia; RNA viruses: enteroviruses, rhinoviruses, virus of encephalitis of the wood of Semliki.

Pharmacokinetics. When drawing on skin and locally system absorption is minimum and is practically not significant.

Indications to use:

Cream can be applied both in the form of monotherapy, and in a combination with other dosage forms of a ribavirin, intended for parenteral and oral administration at the following diseases:
1. The infections of skin and mucous membranes caused by the Herpes simplex 1 and 2 viruses of types, various localization including in genitals.
2. The surrounding herpes (as a part of complex therapy).

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly, to apply on the affected areas of skin and mucous membrane (which are previously washed up and dried up) a uniform thin layer, slightly rubbing.

To apply 5 times a day before total disappearance of symptoms of a disease.

In the absence of improvement within 8 days of use of drug to stop reception and to see a doctor.

For obtaining the best effect treatment should be begun as soon as possible at the first emergence of symptoms of a disease.

If cream of Devirs is appointed in a combination from one of dosage forms of a ribavirin for peroral or intravenous administration, the dose of cream should be reduced.

Features of use:

Not to use for treatment of an oftalmogerpes, not to put in eyes.

Drug should be used with extra care at patients with a renal failure.

Men and women of childbearing age during treatment and within 7 months after the end of therapy have to use effective contraceptive remedies.

Not to apply during pregnancy and feeding by a breast.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions (skin rash, small tortoiseshell, dieback) are possible. Other: hair loss, changes of content of thyritropic hormone (TTG), symptoms of autoimmune diseases (extremely seldom). Observed effects are, as a rule, reversible, do not influence efficiency of treatment and stop after the end of treatment.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not revealed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to a ribavirin or other components of drug, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's and youthful age (up to 18 years).

With care. Renal failure. With care to apply at women and men of reproductive age.

Storage conditions:

In the place, dry, unavailable to children, at a temperature not over 25 ºС. Period of validity 2 years. Not to use after a period of validity.
