Yaroslavl Corvalol

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agent: A-bromizovalerianovoy ethyl ether of acid of 20 g, phenobarbital of 18,26 g, sodium of hydroxide of 3,15 g, buttering a peppermint 1,42 g, the alcohol rectified 580 ml, the water purified 420 ml.

Pharmacological properties:

The combined drug. Phenobarbital possesses sedative and soft sleeping pill effects. Promotes decrease in excitement of TsNS and facilitates approach of a natural dream. Etilbromizovalerianat has sedative and spasmolytic effect. Oil of a peppermint has reflex vasodilating and spasmolytic activity.

Indications to use:

Corvalol is appointed as calming and a vasodilator at functional frustration of cardiovascular system, at the neurosis-like states which are followed by an acrimony, the broken backfilling, tachycardia, a condition of excitement with the expressed vegetative manifestations, and as an antispasmodic - at enterospasms.

Route of administration and doses:

The dosage is established individually. The adult appoint usually till 15-30 drops 3 times a day to food. At tachycardia increase in a single dose drops is possible till 40-50.

To children appoint till 3-15 drops in days depending on age and a clinical picture of a disease. Duration of use of drug is established individually by the doctor.

Features of use:

Purpose of drug during pregnancy is possible only according to strict indications. In need of purpose of drug during feeding it is necessary to resolve an issue of the breastfeeding termination.

Drug contains 58 volume % of ethanol and phenobarbital therefore the patients accepting Corvalol are not recommended to be engaged in the activity connected with special attention and demanding speed of mental and motor reactions.

At prolonged use of drug formation of medicinal dependence is possible; accumulation of bromine in an organism and development of poisoning with it is possible.

Side effects:

Corvalol, as a rule, is well transferred. In some cases, drowsiness and slight dizziness can be observed in the afternoon.

At prolonged use of high doses development of chronic poisoning with bromine which manifestations happen is possible: the depressive mood, apathy, rhinitis, konjyuktivit, hemorrhagic diathesis, a lack of coordination of movements.

At emergence of any side (unusual) effects it is necessary to report about them to the attending physician.
