Validol

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: In mentit 0,06 g of left menthol of solution isovalerate (validol).

Excipients: sucrose (sugar), calcium stearate.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Has sedative effect, possesses the moderate reflex vasodilating effect caused by irritation of sensitive nerve terminations. Stimulates development and release of enkephalins, endorphines and some other peptides, kinin (at the expense of irritation of receptors of a mucous membrane) which take active part in regulation of permeability of vessels, formations of pain.

Pharmacokinetics. At reception under language the therapeutic effect occurs, on average, in 5 minutes, at the same time to 70% of drug is released within 3 minutes.

Indications to use:

Functional cardialgias, syndrome of "motion desease" (nausea, vomiting at sea and aeroembolism).

Route of administration and doses:

Validol is appointed under language. The tablet should be kept in a mouth under language to a full rassasyvaniye. Accept on 1 tablet 2-3 times a day. Daily frequency rate and duration of reception of validol is defined depending on efficiency of treatment.

At insufficiently expressed effect or when at certain patients the next 5 minutes after administration of drug the effect is not observed, it is necessary to see the attending physician for purpose of other therapy.

Features of use:

Use at pregnancy and during breastfeeding. During pregnancy and feeding a breast Validol is appointed only if the expected therapeutic effect for mother exceeds possible negative influence of drug on a fruit and the baby.

Data on possible influence on ability to manage vehicles, mechanisms. Due to a possibility of manifestation of side effect at prolonged use of drug ability to manage the vehicle or mechanisms can decrease.

Side effects:

At long reception of validol slight nausea, dacryagogue, dizziness can be observed. These phenomena usually pass independently.

Interaction with other medicines:

At combined use with other medicines oppressing the central nervous system strengthens action of the last.

Simultaneous use of drug with nitrates reduces a headache which arises at their use.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components. Deficit of sucrose/isomaltose, intolerance of fructose, glyukozo-galaktozny malabsorption (since drug contains sucrose).

With care. It is necessary to appoint with care a sick diabetes mellitus (drug contains sucrose). 1 tablet contains grain units – 0,096-0,116 XE (0,106 XE).

Overdose:

Headache, nausea, the excited state, lowering of arterial pressure, oppression of the central nervous system. In case of overdose it is necessary to cancel drug and to appoint symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

To store at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to apply after the expiry date specified on packaging.

Tablets hypoglossal on 60 mg. On 10 tablets in a blister strip packaging from a film of the polyvinyl chloride and printing aluminum foil varnished. On 10 tablets in the glass jars corked by the plastic tense covers or in banks polymeric. Each can or 2 blister strip packagings with the application instruction are placed in a pack from a cardboard. On 20 blister strip packagings with the equal number of application instructions place in a pack from a cardboard. Blister strip packagings with the equal number of application instructions place in group packaging.
