Ascorbic acid with glucose

General characteristics. Structure:

Active  agents – ascorbic acid – 100 mg; dextrose (glucose) – 877 mg.

Excipients – stearic acid - before receiving a tablet weighing 1000 mg.

Description. Tablets of white color, ploskotsilindrichesky with risky and a facet.

Pharmacological properties:

Ascorbic acid plays an important role in regulation of oxidation-reduction processes, carbohydrate metabolism, processes of coagulability of blood, an angenesis, promotes increase in body resistance to infections.

Dextrose (glucose) participates in various processes of a metabolism in an organism.

Indications to use:

Prevention and treatment hypo - and avitaminosis  (scurvy). Ensuring the increased need of an organism for vitamin C in a growth period, pregnancies, feedings by a breast, at intensive exercise and intellectual stresses, overfatigue, stressful states, during recovery after a long serious illness.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is accepted inside after food.

In the preventive purposes the adult on ½ (50 mg) – 1 (100 mg) a tablet, children on ½ (50 mg)  tablets in day.

In the medical purposes the adult on 4-5 tablets a day, to children on 1-3 tablets a day. 

Terms of treatment depend on character and the course of a disease.

At pregnancy and in the period of a lactation on 3 tablets a day within 10-15 days, further on 1 tablet a day.

Features of use:

In connection with the stimulating influence of ascorbic acid on synthesis of corticosteroid hormones at treatment by high doses it is necessary to monitor function of kidneys and arterial pressure.

At prolonged use of high doses of ascorbic acid (more than 1 g) oppression of function of the insulyarny device of a pancreas therefore it is necessary to control functional capacity of a pancreas regularly is possible.

Side effects:

At prolonged use in high doses development of allergic reactions, a hypervitaminosis is possible, it is not excluded negative influence on a pancreas, a digestive tract (heartburn, ponosa) and an urinary system, formation of urinary, tsistinovy and oxalic stones. Prolonged use of a dextrose (glucose) in high doses can cause the Page hypervitaminosis.

Interaction with other medicines:

Absorption of ascorbic acid decreases at simultaneous use of oral contraceptives. Ascorbic acid increases absorption of drugs of group of penicillin, iron, reduces effect of heparin, indirect anticoagulants, increases risk of emergence of a crystalluria at treatment by salicylates. 

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug. It is not necessary to appoint high doses the patient with the increased coagulability of blood, thrombophlebitises and tendency to fibrinferments; at a diabetes mellitus and a state, the followed increased content of glucose in blood.

It is contraindicated to children up to 3 years.

Overdose:

Cases are not described.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place, at a temperature from 15 to 25 °C.
To store in places unavailable to children.

On 30 tablets in banks from orange glass or polymeric materials. 

On 10 tablets in a planimetric bezjyacheykovy or  strip packaging.
