Estimating a calcium role in a human body, it should be noted uniqueness of this microelement. The greatest value of calcium is its participation in formation of a skeleton. The main structural component of bone system are the hydroxyapatite crystals including calcium, at the same time total quantity of calcium makes 2% of body weight.

The role of calcium and in functioning of other systems of an organism, such as nervous and muscular is not less important. Calcium participates in synoptic transfer of excitement in nerve fibrils, in transformation of an electric signal into chemical. Under its action there is a fading of nervous impulse thanks to what the cardiac muscle relaxes. Calcium also provides relaxation of skeletal muscles, blocking a possibility of reirritation of nerve terminations. For this reason salts of calcium apply to removal of spasms.

Calcium is the most important component of system of a blood coagulation and the mechanism of action of a number of hormones, takes part in absorption of fats.

Absorption of calcium happens in a small intestine and is multistage process. Transfer of calcium ions is carried out by special transport protein for which activation vitamin D is necessary. Active metabolites of vitamin D regulate calcic exchange at the level of three target organs: intestines, kidneys and bone tissue.

Insufficient intake of vitamin D with food or disturbance of ways of its transformation in an organism promote secondary increase in level of parathormone, the kaltsiyreguliruyushchy hormone causing removal of salts of calcium from bones thereby lowering density of a bone and increasing risk of changes.

Route of administration and doses:

To children from 3 to 12 years on 1 tablet a day, to children 12 years and the adult on 1 tablet 2 times a day are more senior during food.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance of components, fenilketonuriya, hypercalcemia and hypercalcuria, D3 vitamin hypervitaminosis.

It is not recommended to accept along with other vitamin and mineral complexes, calciferous and D3 vitamin.

Before use it is recommended to consult with the doctor.

Storage conditions:

To store in dry, protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C. Period of validity: 2 years.
