Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The antituberculous remedy, possesses bactericidal action concerning actively sharing tuberculosis mycobacteria. Suppresses synthesis of phospholipids of membranes and mikoliyevy acids. At monotherapy stability quickly develops.

Pharmacokinetics. It is quickly and fully soaked up in a GIT. The maximum concentration is reached in 1 h. Well gets into various bodies and fabrics, including into liquor. Gets through a placenta, cosecretes in breast milk. It is metabolized in a liver with formation of inactive acetylized metabolites. The elimination half-life about 6 h, tuberculostatic concentration in blood remains during 24 h. It is removed by kidneys in the form of metabolites and in not changed look.

Indications to use:

Treatment of all forms and localizations of active tuberculosis at adults and children, intolerance of an isoniazid.

Route of administration and doses:

Inside, the adult — on 0.5 g 2 times a day. The highest daily dose for adults — 2 g. To children — at the rate of 20-30 mg/kg in 2-3 receptions. The highest daily dose for children — 1 g.

Features of use:

During treatment regular carrying out an eyeground research is necessary. Prevention of development of neuritis requires co-administration of B1 and B6 vitamins.

Side effects:

Dizziness, muscular twitchings, generalized spasms, lacks of coordination of movements, peripheral polyneuropathy, dyspepsia (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain); dryness in a mouth, damage of a liver and kidneys, an atrophy of an optic nerve, an agranulocytosis, a leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, a methemoglobinemia, allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

Strengthens effect of other antitubercular drugs.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, liver and/or renal failure, organic diseases of the central nervous system and peripheral nerves, vision disorder, epilepsy, tonikoklonichesky spasms (in the anamnesis), pregnancy, the lactation period.
