Inula with vitamin C

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 93,06 g of extract of an inula of water liquid (1:10), 0,77 g of ascorbic acid (vitamin C).

Excipients: sorbitol, potassium sorbate, the water purified.

The means applied at cough and catarrhal diseases, possessing the expressed expectorant and antiinflammatory action.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Medicine finds a wide range of pharmacological activity. Possesses the expressed expectorant, antiinflammatory action. Pharmacological properties of medicine are caused by availability of ascorbic acid, the sum of sesquiterpenic lactones (an alantolakton, an isolactone, a digidroizolantalakton, a digidrolantalakton, azulene), polysaccharides (inulin, pectin), organic acids. Vitamin C promotes increase in body resistance to an adverse effect of the environment, reduces hemorrhagic manifestations of a radial illness.

Action: expectorant, antiseptic, healing, fungicidal, hypotensive, fortifying. Expectorant action of 5% of extract of the inula which is a part of syrup is shown by the removal of Iodolipolum accelerated in comparison with control. Antiinflammatory action is especially expressed in a digestive tract. At the same time motor and secretory function of various departments of a digestive tract and evacuation of gastric contents in intestines is normalized, activity of inflammatory process in a stomach decreases. Acidity of gastric contents decreases, the spastic phenomena in the field of the gatekeeper disappear, production of mucous substances mucous glands of a stomach increases. Bile secretion amplifies. Microbic flora of intestines is normalized, life activity of mushrooms is suppressed. 5% extract of an inula possess moderate antivermicular action.

Pharmacokinetics. Medicine works throughout digestive tract. The vitamin C elimination half-life - after its reception and surplus it is removed 4-7 hours with urine in the form of ascorbic acid and metabolites: treonovy, xylonic, lyxonic and oxalic acids.

Indications to use:

Acute and chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases of a respiratory organs (bronchitis, tracheitises) which are followed by persistent cough with formation of the dense, viscous, badly departing phlegm. Prevention and treatment hypo - and vitamin C avitaminosis, during recovery after a long serious illness, in different complex therapy of inflammatory processes.

Route of administration and doses:

Medicine is taken inside for half an hour to food. Before the use to shake up. In the preventive purposes appoint the adult 2-3 dessertspoons (20-30 ml) a day, to children 6 years on 1 dessertspoon (10 ml) a day are more senior. Medical doses for adults make on 2-3 dessertspoons (20-30 ml) 2-3 times a day, for children over 6 years on 1 dessertspoon (10 ml) 2-3 times a day.

Features of use:

Simultaneous use of drug with alkaline drink (mineral waters) reduces vitamin C absorption. Medicine reduces toxicity of sulfanamide drugs, reduces effect of heparin and indirect anticoagulants, increases penicillin absorption, strengthens effect of side effect of salicylates (risk of emergence of a crystalluria).

Side effects:

Allergic reactions to medicine components are possible.

Hypersensitivity to medicine components.

Storage conditions:

In protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 25 °C. A period of validity - 18 months. To use within 10 days after opening of a bottle. Not to use after the term specified on packaging.
