General characteristics. Structure:
Active ingredient: boric acid of 3 g
excipient: ethanol (alcohol) of 70% to 100 ml
Description: colourless transparent liquid with an alcohol smell.
Pharmacological properties:
Antiseptic agent; coagulates proteins (including fermental) a microbic cell, breaks permeability of a cellular cover.
Pharmacokinetics. Well gets through skin and mucous membranes; it is slowly removed and can collect in bodies and fabrics. It is removed by kidneys – 50% (during 12 h), other quantity – within 5-7 days.
Indications to use:
Otitis (acute outside and chronic) without injury of a tympanic membrane.
Route of administration and doses:
Locally. At acute and chronic otitis on 3-5 cap. apply on a turunda and enter into outside acoustical pass 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment should not exceed 3-5 days.
Features of use:
To avoid hit on mucous membranes.
Side effects:
Local reactions: itch, burning, dermahemia of outside acoustical pass. Allergic reactions.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, chronic renal failure, perforation of a tympanic membrane; pregnancy, children's age, lactation period.
Overdose:
Symptoms of acute intoxication (at accidental intake): nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, a gastralgia, disturbance of functions of cardiovascular system, stimulation or oppression of the central nervous system, a hyper pyrexia, erythematic rashes with the subsequent desquamation (the lethal outcome within 5-7 days), a renal failure and a liver (including jaundice is possible), a circulator collapse, shock, including with a lethal outcome.
Treatment: symptomatic. Hemotransfusion, haemo - and peritoneal dialysis.
Storage conditions:

Packaging:
Solution for topical administration of spirit 3%. On 25 ml in the bottles of orange glass corked by polyethylene traffic jams and the screwed covers. Each bottle with the application instruction is placed in a pack from a cardboard. Packaging of bottles without pack together with the equal number of application instructions in group packaging is allowed.
