Triazavirin

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 250 mg of a tiotriazolin in 1 capsule.

Excipients: calcium stearate.

Structure of the case of the capsule: titanium dioxide, dye yellow quinolinic, dye yellow "sunset", gelatin medical.

Structure of a lid of the capsule: titanium dioxide, dye azoruby, gelatin medical.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Active agent of drug Triazavirin - a synthetic analog of the bases of purine nucleosides (guanine) with the expressed antiviral action. Possesses a wide range of antiviral activity concerning the PHK-containing viruses.

Triazavirin is the main mechanism of effect of drug inhibition of synthesis of virus RNA and replication of genomic fragments.

Pharmacokinetics. After intake it is quickly soaked up in digestive tract. Cmax is reached on average in 1-1,5 h Cmax at the recommended mode of dosing averages 4,8 mkg/ml. The size AUC (the area under a pharmacokinetic curve "concentration - time") makes blood 12,8 мкг/ч×мл. T1/2 is 1-1,5 h. Kidneys in not changed look remove from 15 to 45% of drug. The average size of settlement clearance makes 246 ml/min.

Indications to use:

— treatment of flu at adults. If necessary to combine with reception of symptomatic means.

Route of administration and doses:

Triazavirin is applied inside irrespective of meal.

Medical doses. Administration of drug needs to be begun no later than the 2nd day from the beginning of a disease (emergence of clinical symptomatology) on 1 capsule (250 mg) 3 times a day (a daily dose - 750 mg) within 5 days. If necessary treatment can be continued up to 7 days.

Features of use:

Influence on ability to driving of motor transport and to control of mechanisms. It was not studied.

Side effects:

- allergic reactions.

- from the alimentary system: dispepsichesky disturbances (meteorism, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting).

Interaction with other medicines:

Interaction with analogs of the purine and pirimidinovy bases when performing antineoplastic therapy can lead to increase in toxicity of drug. At simultaneous use with ribaviriny the dose decline of a ribavirin is required.

Contraindications:

— hypersensitivity to drug components;

— pregnancy;

— breastfeeding period;

— children's age up to 18 years (efficiency and safety are not defined);

— a renal/liver failure (efficiency and safety are not defined).

Overdose:

Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, dispepsichesky frustration, stomach aches.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy.

At emergence of these symptoms it is necessary to stop administration of drug.

Storage conditions:

To store in the dry place protected from light at a temperature not above 25 °C. Drug should be stored in the places unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years.
