General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 1,5 mg of an indapamid.

Excipients: the gidroksipropilmetiltsellyuloza, sodium of a stearil fumarates, aerosil, talc, lactoses monohydrate, опадрай the II green (polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, talc, polyethyleneglycol, indigo carmine (E132), quinolinic yellow (E104), aluminum hydroxide).

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Индалонг it is intended for decrease in the increased arterial pressure (arterial hypertension). Indapamid is a diuretic. The majority of diuretics increase the urine volume developed by kidneys. However индапамид differs from other diuretics as it only not much more increases the volume of the produced urine. Indapamid increases allocation with urine of ions of sodium, chlorine and to a lesser extent potassium ions and magnesium that is followed by strengthening of a diuresis.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is accepted inside, it is preferable in the morning, regardless of meal. Tablets should be swallowed entirely, without crushing and without chewing, washing down with a glass of water.

The recommended dose - 1 таб. / days.

At treatment of patients with arterial hypertension increase in a dose of drug does not lead to increase in anti-hypertensive action, but strengthens diuretic effect.

Features of use:

Pregnancy. Purpose of drug as diuretic means for treatment of hypostases and arterial hypertension during pregnancy is not justified as it can lead to fetoplacental ischemia with risk of a growth inhibition of a fruit.

Breastfeeding period. If necessary to accept drug during a lactation, breastfeeding should be stopped as индапамид gets into breast milk

This drug can cause approach of the side effects connected with lowering of arterial pressure such as dizziness or fatigue. Side effects:

Laboratory indicators: decrease in potassium concentration and development of a hypopotassemia, is especially expressed at the patients belonging to risk group. Clinical data show that the hypopotassemia (content of potassium in a blood plasma <3 mmol/l)))) was observed at 10% of patients and 3.2 mmol/l at 4% of patients after 4-6 weeks of treatment. After 12 weeks of therapy the content of potassium in a blood plasma made 0.23 mmol/l. The decrease in content of sodium in a blood plasma which is followed by a hypovolemia, dehydration of an organism and orthostatic arterial hypotension was noted. Simultaneous loss of ions of chlorine can lead to a compensatory metabolic alkalosis, however the frequency of development of an alkalosis and its expressiveness is small. It is necessary to control carefully the content of urea and glucose in blood. Indapamid it is necessary to apply with care at patients with gout and a diabetes mellitus.

Interaction with other medicines:

Contraindications:

— renal failure of heavy degree;

— hepatic encephalopathy;

— hypopotassemia;

— simultaneous use with the drugs extending QT interval;

— hypersensitivity to an indapamid and other derivatives of sulfonamide.

With care it is necessary to use drug at patients with an abnormal liver function and kidneys, disturbance of water and electrolytic balance, with the increased QT interval on an ECG, the hyperparathyreosis, a diabetes mellitus raised by the level of uric acid.

Overdose:

Indapamid even in very high concentration (to 40 mg, i.e. in 27 times more of a therapeutic dose) has no toxic effect.

Symptoms of acute poisoning with drug, first of all, are connected with disturbance of water and electrolytic balance (a hyponatremia, a hypopotassemia). Also nausea, vomiting, the expressed decrease in the ABP, a spasm, dizziness, the drowsiness, confusion of consciousness, a polyuria or an oliguria which is coming to an end with an anury can be noted (owing to a hypovolemia).

Treatment: holding the actions directed to removal of drug from an organism (a gastric lavage and/or purpose of absorbent carbon) with the subsequent recovery of water and electrolytic balance.

Storage conditions:
