Diaferrum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 31 mg of Fe ++ in the form of iron (II) of asparaginate, 14 mg of Fe ++ in the form of iron (II) of the glitsinat stabilized by ascorbic acid, 40 mg of ascorbic acid.

Excipients: succinic acid.

Structure of a cover of the capsule: gelatin, glycerin, нипагин, нипазол, sodium lauryl sulfate, the water purified titanium dioxide, iron oxide yellow E-172, diamond blue E-133.

The ferriferous drug used for decrease in signs of an iron deficiency anemia.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The combined antianemic medicine which effect is caused by properties of the components which are its part.

At use of iron in the form of salts there is a bystry completion of its deficit in an organism that leads to gradual regression of clinical and laboratory symptoms of anemia.

Ascorbic acid and succinic acid promote iron absorption improvement.

Pharmacokinetics. After intake iron is soaked up in intestines (generally in a duodenum and initial department of a jejunum). Transport of iron is carried out by protein transferrin which transfers iron to marrow, to places of cellular reserves of iron (parenchymatous bodies, muscles) and to all cells of an organism for synthesis of enzymes. Removal of iron happens to a stake, an insignificant part of iron is lost with the peeling cells of an epithelium of a GIT and skin, and also with then, bile and urine.

Indications to use:

- treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemias of an alimentary or medicamentous origin;

- the states which are followed by the increased need of an organism for iron (pregnancy,            a lactation, the period of active growth, donorship);

- insufficient intake of iron with food;

- disturbance of absorption of iron from a GIT.

Route of administration and doses:

For treatment of an iron deficiency anemia by the adult and to children 12 years are more senior to accept 2 capsules 2 times a day in 1 - 2 hour after food not less than one month (2-3 months) if there are no special instructions of the doctor on course duration.

With the preventive purpose accept 1 capsule a day within one month.

Features of use:

- peptic ulcer;

- inflammatory diseases of intestines;

- alcoholism;

- bronchial asthma;

- hepatonephric insufficiency;

- the accompanying hemotransfusion.

Side effects:

From the alimentary system: sometimes - a lock, heartburn, nausea; more rare - a diarrhea, coloring a calla in black color.

Allergic reactions to medicine components are in some cases possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Organic acids, salts of calcium, phosphorus, Colestyraminum, the antacids containing salts of aluminum, magnesium, calcium break iron absorption, owing to formation of insoluble complexes.

With antibiotics of group of tetracycline, Penicillaminum the complex connections interfering absorption of antibiotics and iron are also formed.

Contraindications:

- children up to 12 years;

- existence of an intestinal diverticulum;

- intestinal impassability;

- simultaneous use of iron preparations for parenteral use;

- the anemia which is not connected with deficit of iron (hemolitic and aplastic anemia, thalassemias);

- disturbances of digestion of iron (sideroakhrestichesky anemia, lead anemia);

- the increased content of iron in an organism (hemosiderosis);

- hypersensitivity to medicine components.

Overdose:

Strengthening of by-effects is possible.

Treatment: medicine cancellation; if necessary carry out symptomatic therapy.

Storage conditions:

In the place protected from moisture and light at a temperature not above 25 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use after the period of validity specified on packaging.
