Description:
Induction of childbirth this artificial initiation of the beginning of patrimonial activity, both at full-term, and at premature and postmature pregnancy. Respectively, the induced childbirth can be premature, timely and overdue.
Indications for induction of patrimonial activity are:
* The postmature pregnancy or pregnancy tending to postmaturity (over 41 week).
* The complicated pregnancy demanding deliveries (gestoses).
* Extragenital diseases (diseases of kidneys, a diabetes mellitus, a cardiovascular, serious illness of lungs, gestational or chronic hypertensia) at which prolongation of pregnancy will result in perinatal and maternal incidence and mortality.
* Premature izlity amniotic waters.
* Sufferings of a pre-natal fruit (a considerable delay of pre-natal fetation, the guarding data on a condition of a fruit on KTG) can serve as indications to induction of patrimonial activity.
* Anti-phospholipidic syndrome.
* The suspected or established diagnosis horionamnionit.
* Death of a pre-natal fruit. Anencephalia and other anomalies of development, incompatible with life.
* Rhesus factor-conflict pregnancy.
* Other, more rare reasons.
Contraindications: contraindications for induction of childbirth are the same, as for vulval delivery. Cicatricial deformations of patrimonial ways, placental presentation, the cross provision of a fruit, etc. can be examples.
Conditions: before induction have to be accurately defined and analyzed:
* Indications and contraindications.
* Duration of gestation.
* A maturity of a neck of uterus (assessment on Bishop's scale).
* Sizes of a basin and sizes of a fruit. The prelying part of a fruit.
* Integrity of fetal membranes (intact or opened).
* Condition of a pre-natal fruit, to data of tool methods of a research.
Indispensable condition is the written consent of the patient to induction of childbirth. Moreover, the reasons of induction of childbirth and possible complications of the carried-out procedure have to be well explained to the patient.
