Boromentholum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredients: 0,75 g of boric acid, 0,75 g I levomentolat

Excipient: white soft paraffin.

Antiseptic and anesthetic.

 

Pharmacological properties:

At rubbing in in skin and drawing on mucous membranes menthol causes the irritation of nerve terminations which is followed by a cryesthesia, easy burning and a pricking, has the easy local anesthetizing effect. Boric acid has antiseptic action.

Indications to use:

In complex therapy of an itch of skin, neuralgia, rhinitis.

Route of administration and doses:

Ointment is applied in small amounts on affected areas of skin, at rhinitis – on skin of wings of a nose and easily rubbed.

Frequency of drawing and duration of use depend on the reached effect and portability of medicine.

Features of use:

Medicine is intended only for external use. Medicine should not be applied on the injured skin. Not to apply on mucous membranes, including a mucous membrane of a nose.

To avoid hit in eyes!

Influence on ability of control of motor transport and other mechanisms. Medicine does not influence speed of response at control of motor transport or other mechanisms.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, contact dermatitis are possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

It is not revealed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to components of drug, a renal failure, pregnancy, the lactation period, children's age up to 18 years.

Overdose:

When drawing on big sites of skin nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pains, a headache, erythematic rash on skin and mucous membranes, epithelium desquamation, confusion of consciousness, a spasm, a renal failure are possible.

Treatment – symptomatic.

Storage conditions:

At a temperature not over 15 ºС. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity - 2 years. Not to use after the termination of a period of validity.
