General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 5 mouse units of effect of poison of a viper of ordinary, 1 g of salicylic acid, 3 g of camphor, 3 g of turpentine zhivichny.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Viprobel is the main active ingredient of ointment the snake poison containing enzymes, proteins, organic acids and other active agents. At topical administration snake poison causes irritation of sensitive receptors of skin and hypodermic cellulose, expands vessels, improves a trophicity of fabrics (directly and reflex). The neurotropic component of snake poison has soothing effect, and the euzymatic component causes a rassasyvaniye of cicatricial changes of fabrics.

Pharmacokinetics. Partial absorption of active ingredients through skin is possible. The absorbed salicylic acid slowly is removed by kidneys, camphor is exposed to a hydroxylation in a liver and is removed with urine in the form of conjugates with glucuronic acid.

Indications to use:

Also the revulsive for external use at rheumatic pains, neuralgia, radiculitis, a miositis, etc. is used as soothing.

Route of administration and doses:

Depending on the sizes of painful sites ointment is applied on skin in the number from 5 to 10 g (1 — 2 teaspoons) and rubbed. Rubbing in is made 1 time a day, at severe pains — 2 times a day.

Features of use:

Prolonged use or drawing on extensive sites during pregnancy is not recommended.

Side effects:

In isolated cases at use of drug emergence of the skin allergic reactions which are taking place at the termination of treatment by Viprobel and performing antiallergic therapy is possible.

Interaction with other medicines:

Drug can be combined with glucocorticoids, salicylates, antihistaminic drugs.

Contraindications:

Drug is contraindicated at the increased individual sensitivity to any of drug components, at an active pulmonary tuberculosis, feverish states and the general exhaustion, at the expressed insufficiency of cerebral and coronal circulation, tendency to heavy vasomotor spasms, at heavy disturbances of functions of a liver and kidneys, allergic reactions, pustulous diseases of skin, damages of integuments to an ointment site of application.

Overdose:

When putting ointment on extensive sites of a surface of skin owing to resorptive system effect the headache, dizziness, unpleasant feelings in epigastric area, nausea can be observed.
