Description:
Regional, or isolated, perfusion at which only the part of an organism or separate bodies which are temporarily deprived of normal inflow of blood is mechanically perfused is carried out at treatment of some diseases and damages (an obliterating endarteritis, some malignant tumors, etc.). At treatment of tumors (i.e. in the passed liquid) enter high doses into perfusate cytostatic (the cells suppressing growth) means. Partial perfusion provides simultaneous ensuring with heart and lungs of adequate circulation for other part of an organism. Partial perfusion is applied also to preservation of the bodies taken for the subsequent transplantation.
