Oflomelid

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient:                                          1 g
ofloxacin                                                            of 10 mg
dioxomethyltetrahydropyrimidine (methyluracil)    of 40 mg
lidocaine a hydrochloride (in the form of monohydrate)        30 mg

Excipients: macrogoal of 1500 (poly(ethylene oxide) 1500, polyethyleneglycol low-molecular 1500), macrogoal 400 (poly(ethylene oxide) 400, polyethyleneglycol low-molecular 400), propylene glycol, methylparahydroxybenzoate (нипагин or methylparaben), пропилпарагидроксибензоат (нипазол or propylparaben).

Description: ointment for external use of white or almost white color.

Pharmacological properties:

The combined drug, renders the antimicrobic, antiinflammatory, mestnoanesteziruyushchy, regenerating action.

Ofloxacin - antimicrobic broad-spectrum agent from group of ftorkhinolon. Has bactericidal effect due to blockade DNK-girazy in bacterial cells. It is highly active concerning gram-positive microorganisms: Staphylococcus spp. (including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis), Streptococcus spp.; gram-negative microorganisms: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter spp., Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Enterobacter spp., Citrobacter spp.; anaerobe bacterias: Propionibacterium acnes; intracellular microorganisms: Chlamydia spp. (including Chlamydia trachomatis), Legionella spp., Mycoplasma spp.

Methyluracil - a stimulator of a reparation of fabrics. Has anabolic activity. Accelerates processes of cellular regeneration in wounds, accelerating growth and granulyatsionny maturing of fabric and epithelization.

Lidocaine has mestnoanesteziruyushchy effect owing to blockade of natrium channels that interferes with generation of impulses in the terminations of sensitive neurons and to carrying out impulses on nerve fibrils. At external use expands vessels, has no local irritative effect.

Water-soluble hydrophilic (giperosmolyarny) basis of ointment the mix of poly(ethylene oxide)s (polyethyleneglycols) with molecular weight of 400 and 1500 providing the dehydrating (moisture absorbing) action on fabric by 20 times makes the hyperosmotic action of 10% of solution of sodium of chloride surpassing in force.

Indications to use:

The infected purulent wounds of various localization and etiology in the first (it is purulent - necrotic) to a phase of a wound process, including followed by the expressed pain syndrome:

— the infected burns of the II-IV degree;

— decubituses;

— trophic ulcers;

— postoperative and posttraumatic wounds and fistulas;

— wounds after opening of abscesses, phlegmons, after surgical treatment of the abscessing furuncles, an anthrax, hydradenites, the suppurated atheromas, lipomas.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is used outwardly, 1 time / within 1-2 weeks. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 100 g of ointment. Duration of treatment depends on dynamics of clarification of wounds from purulent exudate and terms of stopping of inflammatory process.

After standard processing of wounds and burns ointment is applied directly on a wound surface a thin layer (after that apply a sterile gauze bandage) or on a gauze bandage with the subsequent application on the defeat center.

At treatment of the infected burns drug is used daily or 2-3 times a week depending on quantity of purulent separated.

Interaction cases with medicines which would lead to reduction of efficiency and safety of the used drugs are not revealed.

Contraindications:

— pregnancy;

— lactation period;

— children's and teenage age up to 18 years;

— hypersensitivity to drug components.

Drug is contraindicated at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation (breastfeeding).

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in the unavailable to children, protected from light place at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. A period of validity - 2 years.
