Ампиокс is the combined antibiotic of a broad spectrum of activity.

Form of release and structure

Drug is released in the form of capsules for intake a dosage of 0,25 g and in the form of powder for preparation of solution for parenteral administration (Ampioks-natry) in bottles a dosage of 0,1, 0,2 and 0,5 g.

Mix of Oxacillinum of sodium salt and Ampicillini trihdras is a part of capsules (1:1); Ampioks's list for intramuscular or intravenous administration includes mix of sodium salts of ampicillin and Oxacillinum (2:1).

Indications to use

According to the instruction, Ampioks is appointed at the following diseases:

Respiratory infection and lungs (pneumonia, bronchitis);
Quinsy;
Inflammation of a renal pelvis and tissue of kidneys (pyelitis, pyelonephritis);
Inflammation of a gall bladder and bilious channels (cholecystitis, cholangitis);
Bladder inflammation (cystitis);
Contaminated wounds and burns, skin infections;
Sepsis (bacterial blood poisoning);
Puerperal infection;
Prevention and treatment of infections at newborns;
Prevention of purulent postoperative complications.

Ampioks's use is reasonable also at an unspecified antibiotikogramma and not allocated activator.

Contraindications

According to the instruction, Ampioks do not appoint at hypersensitivity to drug components, a lymphoid leukosis, an infectious mononucleosis. Extra care is required at prescription of medicine to children whose mothers have hypersensitivity to penicillin.

Route of administration and dosage

Before therapy the desirable procedure is definition of sensitivity to drug of that microflora which caused a disease.

According to the instruction, Ampioks at oral administration it is appointed in a daily dosage:

To adults and children 14 years – 2-4 g are more senior;
Children are 7-14 years old – 50 mg/kg;
Children are 3-7 years old – 100 mg/kg.

The daily dose of drug should be divided into 4-6 receptions. The average duration of treatment is 1-2 weeks.

To daily dosage at administration of drug intravenously or intramusculary:

To adults and children 14 years – 3-6 g are more senior;
Children are 7-14 years old – 100 mg/kg;
Children are 1-6 years old – 100 mg/kg;
Newborn, premature and to children till 1 year - 100-200 mg/kg;

The daily dose is divided into 3-4 receptions, entered bucketed at 6-8 o'clock. If necessary increase in a dose is allowed twice.

For intramuscular administration of drug, bottle contents (200 and 200 mg) are dissolved respectively in 2 and 5 ml of water for injections.

Intravenously Ampioks enter for 2-3 minutes. The single dose is dissolved in 10-15 ml of water for injections or 0.9% NaCl solution.

For intravenous drop administration of drug to the adult, a single dose dissolve 5% of solution of a dextrose or 0.9% of NaCl solution in 100-200 ml and enter till 60-80 drops in a minute; at intravenous administration of drug to children, for preparation of solution use 30-100 ml of 5-10% of solution of a dextrose. Intravenously the drug is administered for 1 week, with further transition to intramuscular or oral administration.

Side effects

Ampioks's use can parenterally cause by-effects in the form of allergic reactions:

Rhinitis;
Arthralgia;
Konjyuktivit;
Small tortoiseshell;
Eosinophilia;
Quincke's disease;
Dermahemia;
Acute anaphylaxis.

At oral administration of drug vomiting, nausea, a liquid chair can be observed.

Special instructions

During a course of treatment it is necessary to control a condition of functions of kidneys, a liver and bodies of a hemopoiesis.

Analogs

Structural analogs of Ampioks are drugs Oksamp and Oksampitsin.

Conditions and periods of storage

To store in the dry, dark place, at a temperature not above 25 °C.

Period of validity - 2 years.
