Form of release and structure

Medicine is produced in the form of an aerosol for topical administration.

The main active ingredient – фузафунгин, in 1 inhalation – 0,125 mg (in 1 aerosol can – 50 mg).

Indications to use

Bioparox is applied to topical treatment of acute inflammatory diseases of upper respiratory tracts, ENT organs, including an infectious origin: sinusitis, nasopharyngitis, rhinitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, tracheitis.

Use of Bioparox for prevention and treatment of diseases after carrying out a tonsilectomy is also possible.

Contraindications

Drug is not appointed to persons with individual sensitivity to its components and children 2,5 years are younger.

Use of Bioparox demands care at tendency of the patient to allergic reactions.

There are no clinical data on a possibility of use of medicine at pregnancy therefore its use without preliminary consultation with the doctor is not recommended. Purpose of drug during pregnancy is possible if it is established that the risk for the child is less than advantage for mother.

Use of Bioparox during feeding is not recommended by a breast.

Route of administration and dosage

Medicine is used for performing inhalations through a nose or a mouth. Before the first use it is necessary to press 4 times the cylinder basis for its activation.

At inflammatory diseases of a nasal cavity (rhinitis, a nasopharyngitis, sinusitis) the drug is administered through the nasal courses cleared of slime. Inhalation is carried out, having clamped the free nasal wheeling, having closed a mouth and having made a deep breath a nose by simultaneous pressing the cylinder basis.

At diseases of upper respiratory tracts and drinks (tracheitis, bronchitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis), and also after a tonsilectomy enter medicine through a mouth, on a deep breath. For the best irrigation of bronchial tubes and a trachea the patient is recommended to hold for a while the breath after administration of drug.

Bioparox to adults and children of 12 years is appointed on 4 doses for introduction through a mouth or on 2 inhalations in each nostril, frequency rate of use – 4 times a day. To children of 2,5-12 years appoint 2-4 drug doses for introduction through a mouth or on 1-2 doses in each nostril for introduction through a nose, frequency rate of use – 4 times a day. Treatment duration – is no more than a week (otherwise development of superinfection is possible).

Side effects

Use of Bioparox can cause by-effects, such as: dryness mucous, a burning sensation, a spasm of bronchial tubes, asthma, sneezing, cough, a laryngospasm, the Eden, breath disturbance, nausea, unpleasant taste in a mouth, dacryagogue, taste change, reddening of eyes, an itch, rash, urticaria, an acute anaphylaxis (isolated cases).

Special instructions

Nozzles for inhalations which go complete with a bottle should be disinfected every day, wiping with alcohol 90%.

Analogs

Structural analogs of Bioparox at the moment do not exist. The drugs Gramicidin and Grammidin possess similar action.

Conditions and periods of storage

Period of validity – 2 years.
