Fromilid

Fromilid – semi-synthetic antibacterial medicine of makrolidny group.

The medicines similar by the principle of action (Fromilid's analogs): Tetraolenum, Klatsid, Eritromitsina phosphate, Eriderm, Klabaks, Kitazamitsin.

Form of release and structure

There are following dosage forms of release of Fromilid:

• tablets, coated (250 or 500 mg);
• granules with active agent of a medicine (for suspension preparation);
• powder for suspension preparation.

Klaritromitsin – active component of Fromilid.

Pharmacological action of Fromilid

Antibiotic Fromilid shows activity of rather following microorganisms:

• intracellular bacteria (Chlamydiatrachomatis, Legionellapneumophila, Chlamydiapneumoniae, Mycoplasmapneumoniae, Ureaplasmaurealyticum);
• all mycobacteria, except V.tuberculosis;
• gram-negative bacteria (Neisseriameningitidis, Moraxellacatarrhalis, Helicobacterpylori, Haemophilusducreyi and Haemophilusinfluenzae, Neisseriameningitidis, Campylobacter spp., Pasteurellamultocida, Bordetellapertussis);
• gram-positive bacteria (Listeriamonocytogenes, Staphylococcus spp.i Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp.);
• some anaerobic bacteria (Peptococcus spp., Eubacterium spp., Clostridiumperfringens, Toxoplasmagondii, Propionibacterium spp.).

Contraindications to Fromilid's use

• hypersensitivity to a klaritromitsin, macroleads or other components of Fromilid;
• porphyria;
• serious illness of a liver;
• pregnancy (first trimester);
• children's age before half a year (for drug in the form of suspension) and up to 12 years (for Fromilid in tablets);
• lactation period;
• lack of enzyme of isomaltase-invertase, galactose/glucose sprue, intolerance of fructose.

Side effect

Fromilid's use or Fromilid's analogs can cause the following collateral symptoms (according to reviews of Fromilida): feeling of alarm, psychosis, sleep disorders, headaches, unreasonable fears, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, a mialgiya, gastric pains, a sonitus (in rare instances to a hearing loss), allergic reactions, development of immunity of activators to an antibiotic.

To children 12 years (are younger at body weight less than 33 kg) an antibiotic Fromilid appoint in the form of suspension in a daily dose 15 mg/kg of body weight. The dose is usually divided into two receptions. Suspension should be washed down with a small amount of liquid (granules of suspension are not recommended to be chewed because of their bitter taste). Treatment duration – one-two weeks.

For prevention of distribution and treatment of the infection caused by Mycobacteriumaviumcomplex appoint 0,5 g of means each 12 hours. The maximum dose per day – 2 g.

The recommended daily dose of drug for children – 0,015 g. The dose should be divided into two receptions. The maximum daily dose – 1 g. Treatment duration – of six months and more.

Medicinal interaction

Somestny use of a klaritromitsin steofilliny, carbamazepine, digoxin, lovastatiny, simvastatiny, triazolamy, midazolam, Phenytoinum, cyclosporine, Disopyramidum, rifabutiny, takrolimusy, and trakonazoly promotes increase in risk of emergence of side effects above the listed medicines. Simultaneous use in Fromilid's treatment and an astemizola, a tsizaprida, pimozida of a terfenadin increases risk of possible development of arrhythmias, life-threatening.

Combined use of a klaritromitsin, linkomitsinaa of clindamycin increases risk of development of cross resistance.
