Form of release and structure

Drug is produced in the form of plastic paste: homogeneous, from dark gray till black color, with very salty taste and a characteristic sulfuric smell (in packages (bags) on 250, 600 or 1000).

Active agents are a part of Dirt of the Dead Sea: minerals, salts and microelements (in high concentration), and also biologically active agents. On the structure the liquid phase is similar to a water part of the Dead Sea, the solid phase is formed by a crystal skeleton of dirt.

Indications to use

  • Musculoskeletal system diseases, including arthritis, polyarthritis (dystrophic, traumatic, infectious, at a chronic current and in a stage of the calming-down aggravation), rheumatic polyarthritis, rheumatism (in a joint form, in 8-9 months after acute process), a spondylarthrosis, osteochondrosis, Bekhterev's disease, traumatic injuries of sinews, bones, muscles, changes with the slowed-down recovery of bones, an osteitis, a miositis, a periostitis, a bursitis, the osteomyelitis proceeding without symptoms of activity of inflammatory process;
  • LOR-diseases (at a chronic current), including subatrophic and atrophic processes in a nasopharynx, inflammatory processes of adnexal bosoms of a nose, inflammatory diseases of an ear, tonsillitis in compensation stage;
  • Diseases and effects of injuries of the central nervous system (after the end of the acute period), including an encephalomeningitis, encephalopathy, a myelitis (including epidemic poliomyelitis);
  • Diseases and effects of injuries of a peripheral nervous system, including primary (infectious and toxic) and secondary (against the background of osteochondrosis) radiculitis, a plexitis, a polyneuritis, neuritis (at a chronic and subacute current);
  • Trophic ulcers;
  • Skin diseases, including neurodermatitis, chronic forms of eczema, psoriasis (out of an aggravation).

Contraindications

  • Inflammatory processes during an aggravation;
  • New growths (malignant and high-quality);
  • Diseases of blood and hemopoietic bodies;
  • Arterial hypertension, circulatory unefficiency of the II-III degree, the expressed atherosclerosis;
  • Severe forms of a diabetes mellitus, endocrine diseases, thyrotoxicosis;
  • Diseases of urinary tract and kidneys;
  • Mental diseases, including the progressing paralysis, epilepsy, heavy neurosises;
  • Cirrhosis, jaundice;
  • Pregnancy;
  • Age of 65 years (according to indications holding local procedures with a small area of applications is authorized);
  • Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Route of administration and dosage

To choose mud cure option, it is necessary to consider a disease form, localization, a phase and a stage of pathological process, and also age of the patient and existence of the accompanying diseases.

It is necessary to take into account that the place of imposing of Dirt of the Dead Sea and the occupied space have various therapeutic effect.

Applications which are imposed on so-called reflexogenic zones (pelvic and humeral belts, some sites of the lower and upper extremities, in particular hands and feet) because of irritation of these zones cause a number of changes in bodies which are metamericly connected with the corresponding segments of a spinal cord and spinal vegetative ganglions.

The intensive method is usually appointed to patients of young age. Mud cure is effective for decrease in expressiveness of acute joint pains, bystry recovery of functions (during the posttraumatic period), weight reduction (at obesity); to women Dirt of the Dead Sea is appointed as natural anti-cellulite means. The procedure lasting up to 30 minutes is carried out at a temperature of dirt of 40-42 °C, a course – 14-15 procedures (a break between procedures 2-3 days).

The patient with subacute inflammatory diseases, diseases of the central nervous system, and also at an application method usually appoint the sparing method to reflexogenic zones. Procedures lasting 10-15 minutes are carried out every other day and less often, dirt temperature – 38-40 °C, a course makes 10-15 procedures.

Depending on indications mineral dirt can be applied on all body (in the form of wrappings), locally on problem and painful zones, joints and muscles and also as a mask with the purpose of strengthening of hair and elimination of dandruff.

The general mud procedures apply to a detoxication, acceleration of exchange processes, decrease in excess weight and volume, rejuvenation of skin and all organism, and also stress coping, overfatigue, muscular tension, chronic fatigue. For holding the general mud procedures the dirt which is warmed up to 40-42 °C is used.

Mud cure promotes strengthening of hair and hair bulbs. For this purpose dirt is applied on all length of hair and on roots, massed for 2-3 minutes then wrap up the head with a terry towel. The general duration of the procedure – 20 minutes, then dirt wash away warm water using shampoo.
