Emoksipin

Structure
Drug contains active agent of a metiletilpiridinol a hydrochloride, as excipients are used water for injections, hydroxide sodium solution.
Pharmacological properties of Emoksipin
Drug concerns to group of antioxidants, is a vasoprotective. As well as its analogs Emoksipin lowers permeability of vessels, inhibits free radical processes. At Emoksipin's use viscosity of blood and aggregation of thrombocytes decreases, the maintenance of nucleotides (a cyclic guanozinmonofosfat and cyclic adenosinemonophosphate) in tissues of a brain and thrombocytes increases. Drug has fibrinolitic activity, reduces risk of development of hemorrhages. Has the expanding effect on coronary vessels, at a myocardial infarction blocks distribution of the center of a necrosis. Improves function of the carrying-out system of heart and its sokratitelny ability.
Emoksipin has hypotensive action. According to the obtained data from medical responses, Emoksipin at disturbance of cerebral circulation of an ischemic origin improves neurologic symptomatology.
Metabolism of drug happens in a liver. A drug elimination half-life – 18 minutes. It is removed generally by kidneys.
Indications to Emoksipin's use
In neurosurgery and neurology Emoksipin is applied in complex therapy:
- the recovery period after a hemorrhagic stroke;
- the coming disturbances of cerebral circulation;
- ischemic stroke;
- after operating of intracerebral hematomas;
- at treatment of craniocereberal injuries.
In cardiology drug is used in complex therapy at:
- to prevention of a syndrome of reperfusion;
- acute myocardial infarction;
- unstable stenocardia.
Contraindications to Emoksipin's use
- to children up to 18 years;
- to pregnant women;
- when breastfeeding;
- individual intolerance of active agent of drug.
Emoksipin's dosage and the instruction to use
Neurosurgery and neurology: 10 mg/kg/days are entered by method of infusion of 20-30 thaws/min. 10-12 days intravenously. In the next days the drug is administered intramusculary on 60-300 mg 2-3 times a day, within 20 days. Drug before introduction is dissolved in chloride sodium solution (200 ml).
Cardiology: drug solution Emoksipin is entered intravenously 1-3 times a day by method of infusion of 20-40 thaws/min., a dose of 600-900 mg. Course of treatment of 5-15 days. With the subsequent replacement by intramuscular introduction 2-3 times a day. A dosage at intramuscular introduction of 60-300 mg, 10-30 days.
Side effects of Emoksipin
- blood coagulation disturbance;
- dyspepsia;
- allergic reactions;
- pain in heart;
- headache;
- increase in arterial pressure;
- reactions in an injection site (an itch, pain, burning);
- drowsiness;
- excitement.
Interaction with other drugs
As well as some of its analogs, Emoksipin has pharmaceutical incompatibility with other medical supplies.
Overdose
About overdose by Emoksipin of responses or results of researches is not present.
Special instructions
When performing treatment by Emoksipin it is necessary to exercise control of coagulability of blood and arterial pressure.
Storage conditions and period of validity of Emoksipin
Period of validity - 2 years. After a period of validity drug should be utilized.
Emoksipin is stored in the dark place, at the room temperature.
