Korneregel
Application instruction:
Korneregel – the local drug used in ophthalmology for stimulation of regenerative processes.
Form of release and structure
Korneregel produce eye 5% in the form of gel: easily fluid, slightly opalescent or transparent, colourless (in tubas on 5 or 10 g, on 1 tuba in a cardboard pack).
Is a part of 1000 mg of gel:
- Active agent: декспантенол – 50 mg;
- Auxiliary components: эдетат dinatrium – 0,1 mg, цетримид – 0,1 mg, sodium hydroxide – 1,01 mg, carbomer – 0,1 mg, water for injections – 945,79 mg.
Indications to use
- Keratopathy of noninflammatory character, including recurrent erosion, dystrophy of a cornea, the defeats of a cornea connected with carrying contact lenses (treatment);
- Stimulation of process of healing of a conjunctiva and cornea at corrosive and thermal burns and injuries (as supportive application);
- Infectious defeats of a cornea of a bacterial, fungal or virus origin (as supportive application).
Contraindications
Contraindication to Korneregel's use is hypersensitivity to drug components.
In a type of lack of clinical data pregnant women and the feeding women should use drug with care.
Route of administration and dosage
Korneregel is applied locally.
Gel is dug in in the lower conjunctival sac of the affected eye by 4 times a day, and also before going to bed. A single dose – 1 drop.
Side effects
During Korneregel's use there can be following side effects:
- Allergic reactions: very seldom – hypersensitivity in the form of an itch, skin rashes;
- Local reactions: strengthening of a slezootdeleniye, pain, an itch, a chemosis, a hyperemia, feeling of a foreign body in an eye, short-term "misting" of sight.
Special instructions
At treatment of infectious damages of a cornea of a bacterial, fungal or virus origin to apply Korneregel as monotherapy does not follow.
The preservative which is a part of gel цетримид at long or too frequent use can lead to development of local irritation of eyes, allergic reactions (in the form of reddening, burning, feeling of a foreign body in an eye) and damages of an epithelium of a cornea.
Carrying contact lenses during Korneregel's use is not recommended that is connected with possible incompatibility of separate components of drug with material of which lenses are made. However in cases when their carrying nevertheless is shown, before Korneregel's use lenses need to be removed. Again it is possible to put on them not earlier, than in 15 minutes after the end of holding a procedure.
After each use the tuba with gel needs to be closed.
It is not necessary to touch an eye with a tuba pipette tip with Korneregel.
In the absence of improvement of a state or development of signs of irritation of eyes it is necessary to cancel therapy and to address for medical consultation.
After Korneregel's instillation on a cornea formation of a pellicle which can lead to short-term "misting" of sight and, respectively, reduction in the rate of reaction is possible. Therefore it is possible to start control of motor transport only after a complete recovery of clearness of sight.
Medicinal interaction
Korneregel's incompatibility with other drugs is not confirmed.
When performing additional local therapy by oculentums or drops it is necessary to observe a break between their use not less than 15 minutes. At the same time Korneregel is recommended to apply the last that is connected with the fact that he can extend time of stay of other ophthalmologic medicines in an eye and, respectively, strengthen their effect.
Terms and storage conditions
To store in protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
Period of validity – 2 years.
After opening of a tuba Korneregel it is necessary to use within 45 days.
