Noksprey
Application instruction:
Noksprey – the local vasoconstrictive medicine applied in the LOR-expert.
Form of release and structure
Noksprey release in the form of spray nasal: colourless or slightly yellowish, transparent, with a specific smell (in polymeric bottles on 10 or 20 ml, on 1 bottle in a cardboard pack complete with traffic jams sprayers).
Is a part of 1 ml of spray:
- Active agent: an oxymetazoline hydrochloride – 0,5 mg;
- Auxiliary components: menthol, racemic camphor, chloride a benzalkoniya, eucalyptole, disubstituted sodium phosphate, эдетат sodium (Trilonum of B), propylene glycol, the purified water.
Indications to use
- Sinusitis;
- Rhinitises of allergic or infectious and inflammatory genesis (in an acute current);
- The complicated nasal breath and the congestion of a nose connected with catarrhal diseases;
- Average otitis, eustachitis.
Appoint also Nokspry for the purpose of simplification of carrying out a rinoskopiya and other manipulations in a nasal cavity.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- Atrophic rhinitis;
- Age up to 6 years;
- Pregnancy and period of a lactation;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Relative (Noksprey appoint with care in the presence of the following diseases / states):
- Diabetes mellitus;
- The expressed atherosclerosis;
- Arterial hypertension;
- Chronic renal and heart failure;
- Arrhythmias;
- The prostate hyperplasia proceeding with clinical symptoms;
- Thyrotoxicosis;
- Closed-angle glaucoma;
- Simultaneous use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants.
In order to avoid spread of an infection, use of one bottle with nasal spray by several persons is not recommended.
It is necessary to avoid long therapy (possibly decrease in efficiency of Noksprey) and overdoses (development of a mucosal atrophy of a nasal cavity and reactive hyperemia with medicamentous rhinitis is possible).
Route of administration and dosage
For a vspryskivaniye of 1 dose of Noksprey the tip of a nozzle of a bottle needs to be entered into the nasal course and to press sharply once a bottle, taking at the same time a breath a nose. It is not necessary to overturn a bottle and to reject back the head at the same time.
The single dose (in each nasal course) makes: adults and children of 12 years – 1-2 vspryskivaniye, children of 6-12 years – 1 injection. Frequency rate of use – 2 times a day, therapy duration – up to 7 days.
Side effects
- Sometimes: sneezing, feeling of dryness or burning of nasal covers;
- Seldom: reactive hyperemia;
- Very seldom: heavy reactions of hypersensitivity, including a Quincke's edema.
At repeated overdose system sympathomimetic effects can develop: nausea, tachycardia, concern, sleeplessness, headache, increase in arterial pressure.
At development of side effects it is necessary to interrupt therapy and to see a doctor.

Before Noksprey's use consultation of the specialist is necessary.
Medicinal interaction
The combined Noksprey's use with tricyclic antidepressants and monoamine oxidase inhibitors, and also with other local vasoconstrictive drugs and means for intranasal introduction is not recommended.

To store in the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature up to 25 °C.
