Algid

Algid (Latin algidus – cold) – a symptom complex which is caused by organism dehydration with loss of potassium chlorides and sodium and bicarbonates. Algid is characterized by tonic myotonia of extremities, hemodynamic frustration, a hypothermia, sharp asthma, anury. The disease is, as a rule, observed at patients with cholera.
