The assistant (Latin assistentis, assistens which - are helping, which are present):

  1. The assistant to the specialist (for example, helping at operation to the surgeon);
  2. The employee of pharmaceutical institution with the higher or secondary vocational pharmaceutical education who is busy with preparation of medicines;
  3. The regular, replaced on a competition, teaching position at department of a higher educational institution;
  4. The first academic rank which is given to teachers of the higher school.
