Balanoposthitis

Balanoposthitis (balanoposthitis; Greek balanos – a balanus + Greek posthion – a prepuce) – an inflammation of an internal leaf of a prepuce and skin of a balanus. Can be a complication infectious (trichomoniasis, herpes, gonorrhea) and noninfectious (diabetes mellitus psoriasis, etc.) diseases.

Types of balanoposthites: erosive (b. erosiva), simple (b. simplex), xerotic obliterating (b. xerotica obliterans), diabetic (b. diabetica).
