Femoral ring

Femoral ring [anulus femoralis – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian), BNA (The anatomic nomenclature Basel), JNA (The anatomic nomenclature Yenskaya)] – the internal opening of the femoral channel which is under an inguinal sheaf in a medial corner of a vascular lacuna; it is created by an inguinal sheaf (in front), an edge sheaf (behind), a lacunary sheaf (medially) and a vagina of a femoral vein (lateralno); when developing femoral hernias plays a role of hernial gate.
