Bens-Jones test

Bens-Jones test (N. of Bence-Jones, the English doctor, 1813-1873) – the way of identification in urine of protein of Bens-Jones which is based on his settling out at acidulation and heating of urine to 50-60 °C, with dissolution of a deposit at the subsequent heating to 80-100 °C.
