Infertility

Infertility (sterilitas) – inability of a mature organism to bring forth offspring.

Allocate:

  • Infertility female (feminina) – inability of the woman of reproductive age to conception;
  • Infertility female absolute (feminina absoluta) – the probability of pregnancy is completely excluded (lack of ovaries, extreme degree of a hypoplasia or lack of a uterus, ugliness of generative organs, etc.);
  • Infertility female primary (feminina primaria) – at the woman leading sex life without use of contraceptives never was pregnancies;
  • Infertility female secondary (feminina secundaria) – pregnancy does not come for more than two years at regular sex life without use of contraceptives, but in the anamnesis there are data on one or several pregnancies;
  • Infertility female endocrine (feminina endocrinica) – arisen owing to dysfunction of closed glands, leading to development of an anovulatory cycle;
  • Infertility men's (impotentia generandi) – inability of a mature male body to make fertilization (irrespective of an opportunity to have sexual intercourse);
  • Infertility men's secretory (impotentia generandi secretoria) – caused by frustration of a spermatogenesis, e.g. at diseases or anomalies of development of appendages and testicles, disturbances of endocrine regulation and exchange;
  • Infertility men's excretory (impotentia generandi excretoria) – caused by disturbance of release of sperm, arising at disorders of process of an ejaculation, anomalies of development, an injury or an inflammation of deferent ducts.
