Birkhera oesophagoplasty

Birkhera oesophagoplasty (N. of Bircher, Swiss surgeon, 1850-1923; oesophagoplastica; Greek oisophagos – a gullet, from Greek oiso future time of the verb phero – to bear + phagem – to eat, eat + Greek plastike – a sculpture, a molding) – plastic surgery at which the hypodermic artificial gullet from skin of a front chest wall forms.
