Pale sphere [globus pallidus – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian), BNA (The anatomic nomenclature Basel); pars pallida nuclei lentiformis – JNA (The anatomic nomenclature Yenskaya); synonyms: the pallidum, a paleostriatum] represents two medial sites of a lenticular kernel of a hemicerebrum separated from a shell and divided among themselves by lateral and medial brain plates. A pale sphere – an element of extrapyramidal system.
