Big nipple of a duodenum (papilla duodeni major – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian); synonym: fater of pacifiers) – the anatomical structure placed on the end of a longitudinal fold of a mucous membrane of a duodenum in the form of an eminence on the middle of the descending part of a gut; on a big nipple of a duodenum the general pancreatic and bilious channels open, as a rule, one opening.
