Gaptoglobin

Gaptoglobin (Greek hapto – to grab, take + lat. globus – a ball) – a glycoprotein (complex protein) of blood serum which, contacting hemoglobin (for example, at hemolysis), forms the complex connection having peroksidazny activity and destroyed by cells of reticuloendothelial system with the happening release of molecular iron.
