Haler cardiomyotomy

Haler cardiomyotomy (Е. Heller, German surgeon, 1877-1964; Greek kardia – a cardial opening, a cardial part of a stomach + mys, myos – a muscle + tome – a section, a section) – the surgery performed at an achalasia and a cardiospasm of a gullet during which cut a cardial part of a stomach on back and front walls, and also a muscular coat of bottom edge of an expanded segment of a gullet.
