Hemodialysis

Hemodialysis (haemodialysis; Greek haima – blood + Greek dialysis – department; synonym: a hemodialysis extracorporal) – a way of correction of acid-base and water and electrolytic balance and removal from an organism of various harmful substances which is based on ultrafiltration and dialysis of blood by means of the device "artificial kidney"; it is used for treatment of a renal failure and some acute poisonings.

Allocate a hemodialysis chronic (h. chronica; synonym: a hemodialysis periodic) – carried out repeatedly, through some periods; is one of the main methods of therapy of a chronic renal failure.

The American scientists made experiments on mice and came to a conclusion that water-melon juice prevents development of atherosclerosis of vessels. One group of mice drank usual water, and the second – water-melon juice. As a result vessels of the second group were free from cholesteric plaques.
