Ventriculostomy (ventriculostomia; anatomic ventriculus – a ventricle, a stomach + Greek stoma – an opening) – surgery at which for therapy of occlusal hydrocephaly cerebrospinal liquid from ventricles of a brain is taken away in a subdural or subarachnoid space.
