Vernike symptom

Vernike a symptom (To. Wernicke, German psychiatrist and neuropathologist, 1848-1905; synonyms: an immovability of pupils a gemianopichesky, pupillary test gemianopichesky) – the lack of reaction of pupils noted in case of a gomonimny hemianopsia at illumination of half of retinas which are not performing the function, and its preservation at illumination of the functioning half; is a sign of defeat of a visual tract.
