Nuchal line

The nuchal line (linea michae) – the name combining the cross rough linear eminences located on the outer side of scales of an occipital bone, and representing the place of an attachment of muscles of occipital area and a back; subdivide on upper [l. n. superior – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian)], lower [l. n. inferior – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian)] and the highest [l. n. suprema – PNA (The anatomic nomenclature Parisian)] the nuchal line.
