Description:
Cancer of a penis is the malignant tumor developing from penis tissues, having ability to innidiation (to distribution on an organism). The metastatic form of cancer of penis can lead to death of the patient.
Penis Cancer symptoms:
Cancer of a penis can be located on a balanus, on a prepuce, on a head and skin of a prepuce at the same time, on a coronal furrow of a penis and on a penis trunk. Originally the disease is most often shown in the form of the small changed site of skin, with the subsequent increase in sizes and consolidation of this site. Also cancer of a penis can be shown in the form of sores, erosion or growths in the form of "cauliflower" on skin or a balanus. Other displays of a disease are emergence of pains in the field of changes, the increase in inguinal lymph nodes accompanied with pain, emergence of impurity of blood in urine, urodynias.
At existence of such disease as a phymosis symptoms of a disease can appear much later from behind impossibility of the patient to watch changes of skin and a balanus. Purulent, fetid discharges from a preputial bag can be symptoms of cancer of penis at a phymosis, in addition to above-mentioned.
Penis Cancer reasons:
The most essential and proved factors are:
• A virus of papilloma of the person which has a large number of types and subtypes. In the presence in an organism of several types papillomas in any part of a body can develop. One of them tend to cause papillomas on brushes or feet, others - on lips or language, also on a penis. Often penis papillomas are not visible to an eye and proceed asymptomatically. Separate types lead to development of papillomas on generative organs and in the field of an anus, both at men, and at women. The virus of papilloma of the person is transmitted sexually. At treatment of such papillomas prevention development of cancer is possible.
• Smoking, as we know, damages not only lungs. The majority of the chemicals which are contained in tobacco smoke are soaked up in blood and spread on all organism, influencing DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) of cells of a penis. Such influence is especially dangerous in the presence at the man of a virus of papilloma of the person.
• A smegma (preputial lubricant) are fatty allocations and devitalized cells of skin, and also a bacterium which accumulate under a prepuce.
• A phymosis or the narrowing extremely fleshes which is not allowing to bare a balanus. The phymosis serves as the reason of accumulation of a smegma and to difficulty or impossibility of hygienic care of body.
• Chronic inflammatory processes in the field of a balanus and a prepuce.
Cancer therapy of a penis:
The choice of a method of cancer therapy of a penis depends on a disease stage which can be defined after careful inspection, definition of a stage and prevalence of a disease. Today methods of treatment of this disease are presented:
1. By conservative methods of treatment:
- beam by therapy and brachytherapy — the method is used at treatment of small primary educations with the cosmetic purpose and the purpose of preservation of function of a penis. Results of use of this method remain depressing, being shown in the form of a large number of a recurrence of a disease.
- laser therapy — also as well as radiation therapy with brachytherapy is used for treatment of locally-spread forms of a disease. At treatment combination So2i of Nd:YAG of the laser by power 40W㫔W is used. Results, as well as at radiation therapy, leave much to be desired, with development of a recurrence of a disease in 7% of cases.
- cryotherapy
- local therapy
- chemotherapy
2. operational methods of treatment which include removal of primary center, i.e. directly tumors, removal of inguinal and pelvic lymph nodes, and also more aggressive techniques with removal of a part of bones of a small pelvis.
3. a combination therapy — a combination of operational treatment, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
