Inguinal hernia

Description:

Inguinal hernia — pathological protrusion of a peritoneum in a cavity of the inguinal channel. At men meet considerably more often. The Pakhovy channel represents a cavity of triangular section in which at women there passes the round ligament of a uterus, and men have a seed cord.

Inguinal hernias belong to the most widespread hernias of an abdominal wall.

Symptoms of Inguinal hernia:

Symptoms of inguinal hernia is emergence in the field of a scrotum of roundish protrusion which is followed by nagging pains. During an exercise stress or a natuzhivaniya the size protrusion increases, and at relaxation decreases. If over time camber increases in sizes or begins to fall to a scrotum, then it is necessary to see a doctor immediately. Inguinal hernia is followed by pain, discomfort, disturbance of a chair, difficulty of an urination, etc. Statistically men are more subject to this disease. Inguinal hernia occurs at women much less often, but at the same time the risk of infringement is higher. At infringement hernial contents and hernial gate are squeezed. Infringement is followed by sharp pains, nausea, vomiting and a delay of a chair. For prevention of developing of inguinal hernia it is recommended to lead a healthy lifestyle, to play sports, to eat properly, not to do big exercise stresses, to become tempered, etc. Pregnant women are recommended to use special bandazhy which reduces probability of developing of a disease.

Reasons of Inguinal hernia:

Inguinal hernia represents defect of an abdominal wall and inguinal area at which internals are stuck out outside, forming oval education. Due to increase in intra belly pressure internals, intestines loops, fatty tissue, etc. can be stuck out outside, causing at the same time feeling of discomfort and pain in a groin. At inguinal hernia the pakhovy channel extends that in turn leads to a partial exit of internals from an abdominal cavity out of its limits and to emergence of tumorous formations of a spherical or oval shape. Inguinal hernias happen inborn and acquired. Genetic predisposition to emergence of inguinal hernia is caused by the fact that insufficiently strong connecting fabric of the muscular and tendinous channel cannot constrain intra belly pressure. The acquired hernia develops owing to hard physical work, regular locks, difficulty of an urination at prostate diseases, chronic cough, etc.

Treatment of Inguinal hernia:

The main methods of treatment of inguinal hernias is the tension hernioplasty, a hernioplasty with use of an endoprosthesis and a laparoscopic hernioplasty. At a tension hernioplasty by means of several seams narrow a pakhovy interval. It provides to fixation of muscular and tendinous structure in the new provision. This method of surgery is rather simple. There is no need of use of the difficult medical equipment and special materials. Operation is performed under local anesthesia. Shortcomings of such method of treatment are disturbances of internal structures, a pain syndrome, high probability of emergence of complications and a recurrence, disturbance of blood supply of the operated zone, long rehabilitation, etc.

The hernioplasty with use of an endoprosthesis is more modern method of treatment of inguinal hernia. The essence of this method of treatment consists in strengthening of an abdominal wall by means of a polypropylene grid. This operation can be performed under local anesthesia and significantly reduces probability of emergence of complications and a postoperative recurrence. At a hernioplasty all anatomic interrelations of the inguinal channel remain and there is no tension of fabrics. Bystry rehabilitation and return to work. A lack of a hernioplasty with use of an endoprosthesis is existence in an organism of a foreign body that can lead to a certain extent of reaction of rejection. Statistical data of clinical practice show, rejection occurs less than at 0,01% of patients.

The laparoscopic hernioplasty is the most modern and progressive technique of treatments of inguinal hernias at which hernia is fitted a prosthesis from within. By means of small cuts in inguinal area special medical tools and лапароскоп which allows to watch the operation course on the monitor are inside entered. The laparoscopic hernioplasty allows to perform effectively operations without serious traumatizing an abdominal wall, to visually inspect a condition of the muscular structures creating hernial gate, to reduce the rehabilitation period up to 2-3 days, to remove a pain syndrome, it is essential to reduce probability of emergence of complications and a recurrence, to reach lack of hems and many other things.
