Laktofiltrum

General characteristics. Structure:

Active agents: lignin of hydrolytic 355 mg; lactulose of 120 mg

Excipients: sodium of a kroskarmelloz, magnesium stearate.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacological effect of the drug Laktofiltrum® is caused by properties of the active components which are its part - a lignin and lactulose.
The lignin hydrolytic - the natural enterosorbent consisting of hydrolysates of components of wood has the high occluding activity and nonspecific disintoxication action. Connects in intestines and brings out of an organism pathogenic bacteriums and bacterial toxins, medicines, salts of heavy metals, alcohol, allergens, and also surplus of some metabolic products, including bilirubin, cholesterol, a histamine, serotonin, urea, other metabolites responsible for development of endogenous toxicosis.
Lactulose - synthetic disaccharide which molecule consists of the remains of a galactose and fructose. In a large intestine lactulose as substrate is fermented by normal intestinal microflora, stimulating growth of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. As a result of hydrolysis of lactulose in a large intestine organic acids - milk, acetic and ant suppressing growth of pathogenic microorganisms and reducing thereof products of nitrogen-containing toxic substances are formed. The described process leads to increase in osmotic pressure in a gleam of a large intestine and to stimulation of a vermicular movement.
Complex effect of drug is directed to normalization of a microbiocenosis of a large intestine and decrease in intensity of endogenous toxic states.

Pharmacokinetics. The lignin hydrolytic is not soaked up, completely brought out of intestines during 24 h.
Lactulose in a stomach and upper parts of intestines is not soaked up and not hydrolyzed. Hydrolysis of lactulose happens in a large intestine.

Indications to use:

— intestinal microflora disturbances, including as a result of an antibioticotherapia;
— a syndrome of the angry intestines (as a part of complex therapy);
— hepatitises and cirrhosis (as a part of complex therapy);
— allergic diseases (atopic dermatitis, a small tortoiseshell) - as a part of complex therapy.

Route of administration and doses:

Pill is taken inside, if necessary - after preliminary crushing, washing down with water, for 1 h to food and reception of other medicines.
To adults and children 12 years are more senior appoint on 2-3 tablets of 3 times/days, to children aged from 8 up to 12 years - on 1-2 tablets of 3 times/days, to children aged from 3 up to 7 years - on 1 tablets of 3 times/days, to children aged from 1 year up to 3 years - on 1/2 tablets of 3 times/days.
The average duration of a course of treatment - 2-3 weeks. Long use of drug and repeated courses of treatment have to be carried out only according to the recommendation of the doctor.

Features of use:

Drug can be used in complex therapy together with other medicines at observance of the rule of separate reception.

Side effects:

From the alimentary system: seldom - a meteorism, diarrhea.
Others: allergic reactions.

Interaction with other medicines:

Decrease in medical effect of some drugs which are at the same time accepted inside is possible.

Contraindications:

— impassability of intestines;
— gastrointestinal bleedings;
— galactosemia;
— hypersensitivity to drug.

With care it is necessary to use drug at an aggravation of a peptic ulcer of a stomach and duodenum, an intestines atony.

Data on safety of use of the drug Laktofiltrum® at pregnancy and in the period of a lactation are absent.

Overdose:

Symptoms: lock, abdominal pains.
Treatment: termination of administration of drug.

Storage conditions:

Drug should be stored in dry, protected from light, the place, unavailable to children, at a temperature not above 30 °C.
