General characteristics. Structure:

Main physical and chemical properties: suppositories from white with yellowish till the color, white with a grayish shade, a cigar-shaped form, with a specific smell; Structure: 1 suppository contains a prostatilen of 0,03 g; zinc of sulfate of heptahydrate of 0,1 g; a-tocopherol of acetate of 0,1 g; excipients: the water purified; twin 80; cetostearyl alcohol; solid fat.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. The combined drug which is used for treatment of diseases of a prostate. Prostatilen who is a part of suppositories has organotropic effect on a prostate (prostatoprotektorny effect), antiinflammatory action, reducing hypostasis and leukocytic infiltration of gland, improves processes of microcirculation and a platelet and vascular hemostasis, positively influences functional activity of spermatozoa. Prostatilen also stimulates activity of a humoral link of immunity and some factors of resistance of an organism, influences a tone of muscles of a bladder, including a detruzor tone. Zinc prevents development of kind and malignant processes in a prostate, promotes preservation of integrity of spermatozoa, raises sexual desire, serves as a factor of a host defense, is necessary for maturing of specific immune cells, synthesis of cytokines, resistance of an organism. Deficit of zinc which is characteristic, in particular, of elderly people leads to impotence, regression of male gonads and testicles, decrease in amount of sperm.

Pharmacokinetics. Components of drug are effectively soaked up in intestines. Vitamin E in blood contacts lipoproteids and partially albumine, is deposited in adrenal glands, a hypophysis, seed plants, fatty and muscular fabrics, a liver. It is removed preferential with bile. Zinc does not kumulirut, is removed with a stake (85%), and also with urine and then. Information on pharmacokinetics of a prostatilen is absent. Indications to use:

Treatment and prevention of chronic prostatitis, benign hyperplasia of a prostate; complications after prostate gland operations, and also sexual frustration, male infertility.

Route of administration and doses:

The adult suppository is entered deeply into an anus. With the medical purpose apply on 1 suppository 2 times a day (in the morning and in the evening) for 5 – 10 days. For the purpose of prevention – on 1 suppository once a day. Duration of a course is defined by the character and disease severity reached by therapeutic effect, the nature of therapy (monotherapy or complex treatment). If necessary the course of treatment can be repeated in 1 – 6 month.

Features of use:

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to drug components, a renal failure, a myocardial infarction, a cardiosclerosis.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose of suppositories with prostatileny are not described. At overdose of zinc of sulfate fever, dysfunction of lungs, dehydration, an imbalance of electrolytes in plasma, a renal failure is noted. At overdose of vitamin E the creatinuria, diarrhea, decrease in working capacity are possible. Symptomatic treatment.

Storage conditions:

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from +8 °C to +15 °C. To store in the place, unavailable to children. A period of validity – 3 years.
