Description:
Cardiosclerosis — a partial replacement of tissue of a myocardium connecting fabric.
Cardiosclerosis symptoms:
Clinical manifestations of a cardiosclerosis depend on its localization and prevalence. Than more than a percentage of mass of connecting fabric to the mass of the functioning myocardium, especially is probable developing of heart failure and disturbances of a cordial rhythm. At localization even of the small centers of a cardiosclerosis in the carrying-out system of heart arrhythmias of heart and disturbance of endocardiac conductivity are possible. Complaints of patients and these inspections are defined by existence and expressiveness of these morbid conditions.
At establishment of the diagnosis take into account the anamnesis (the myocarditis postponed in the past, a myocardial infarction, etc.), relative stability of displays of heart failure (an asthma, hypostases, a Crocq's disease) or cardiac arrhythmias (premature ventricular contraction, a ciliary arrhythmia, etc.).
Cardiosclerosis reasons:
Occurs in sites of death of myocardial fibers in the outcome of myocarditis, a heavy myocardial dystrophy, in a necrosis zone at a myocardial infarction. Distinguish a diffusion cardiosclerosis at which elements of connecting fabric are rather evenly distributed on all myocardium, and focal, or cicatricial, characterized by an impregnation in a myocardium of more or less large connective tissue sites. The first form develops at uniform damage of a cardiac muscle, the second — as a myocardial infarction outcome (a postinfarction cardiosclerosis), is more rare — as the result of focal inflammatory process. The diffusion cardiosclerosis at coronary heart disease is often called an ateroskleretichesky cardiosclerosis; it can be combined with a focal postinfarction cardiosclerosis.
Treatment of the Cardiosclerosis:
The cardiosclerosis in itself does not need treatment; preventive treatment is necessary at coronary heart disease. Symptomatic therapy has to be directed to elimination of displays of heart failure (use of diuretics, peripheral vazodilatator, etc.), disturbances of a cordial rhythm (by the general principles of treatment of arrhythmias of heart). Heavy disturbances of conductivity can become the indication to implantation of an electrocardiostimulator.
