General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient - lactobacilli of L.plantarum (strains 8P-A3 and 38) or L.fermentum (strains 90T-C4 and 39); one dose of drug contains ^2·109 WHICH lactobacilli; one capsule contains 1 dose of drug;

excipients - sugar milk or lactose, magnesium stearate.

Main properties: drug represents itself the microbic mass of the live lakobakteriya of L.plantarum or L.fermentum which are lyophilicly dried up; solid gelatin capsules, a cylindrical form with the hemispherical ends; the maintenance of capsules – the mass of yellowish-beige color of various intensity, is allowed with insignificant balling up.

Pharmacological properties:

The therapeutic effect of drug is defined by the lactobacilli having antagonistic activity in relation to pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms, and creating favorable conditions for development of useful intestinal microflora. The specified properties of lactobacilli are connected with accumulation or (in the course of production) lactic acid – a strong antiseptic agent which causes activity of drug in relation to pathogenic microflora (to dysenteric bacteria, to an enteropathogenic stick) and to opportunistic microorganisms (which come to light and become more active against the background of long dysfunction of intestines).

Indications to use:

Drug is used with the medical and preventive purpose. It is applied to adults and children (since 3 – 4 years of life). It is shown at:

- acute intestinal infections (in complex treatment);

- dysbacterioses of the established and unspecified etiology;

- dysbacterioses at infectious and the somatopathies demanding a massive antibioticotherapia;

- intestines dysfunctions (as a result of the postponed acute intestinal infections and dysbacterioses);

- acute and chronic colitis of a different etiology, including, nonspecific ulcer colitis.

Route of administration and doses:

Drug is used inside in 40 minutes – 1 hour to food. A daily dose for adults make 6-10 capsules, for children (3 years and more) – till 4-10 capsules. The daily dose is divided into 2 – 3 receptions.

Use duration:

- at the long and chronic course of dysentery, post-dysenteric colitis, an aftercare of convalescents after acute intestinal infections, and also at long intestinal dysfunction of not established etiology treatment is carried out by not less than 4-6 weeks;

- at nonspecific ulcer colitis, and also chronic colitis and coloenterites treatment is carried out to 1.5-2 months;

- at dysbacterioses of various etiology treatment is carried out on an extent of 3-4 weeks.

For fixing of the gained clinical effect in the absence of full normalization of microflora in 10-14 days after the termination of a course of treatment appoint the supporting treatment (in a half dose) within 1-1.5 months. At the diseases proceeding with a recurrence repeated courses of treatment are reasonable. In these cases before purpose of drug the repeated research of microflora is necessary.

Features of use:

It is useful to combine administration of drug with reception of milk, lactic products.

Use during pregnancy and feeding by a breast. It is not established contraindications to use of drug during pregnancy and to feeding by a breast.

Side effects:

It is not established.

Interaction with other medicines:

Treatment is recommended to be accompanied with use of vitamins. In view of a high antibiotikoustoychivost of lactobacilli use of drug is possible in combination with an antibioticotherapia. In case of use of specific bacteriophages, corrective therapy is appointed after a course of treatment a bacteriophage.

Contraindications:

Are not established.

In the dry, protected from light place at a temperature from 2 °C to 8 °C.
