Septomirin

General characteristics. Structure:

Active ingredient: 90 mg  of a miramistin.

Septomirin – an antiseptic agent, has antiviral and bactericidal effect.

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Septomirin – is active concerning gram-positive and gram-negative, aerobic and anaerobic, spore-forming and asporogenic bacteria in the form of monocultures and microbic associations, including hospital strains with polyresistance to antibiotics.

Have the highest sensitivity to drug: gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracoides, Bacillus subtilis); gram-negative microorganisms: Neisseria spp., Escherichia spp., Shigella spp. (including Zonne, Fleksner), Salmonella spp. (a typhoid, a paratyphoid And yes In, activators of food toxicoinfections), Vibrio spp. (including cholera, paracholera, parahemolitic), Treponema pallidum, Corynebacterium diphtheriae; mushrooms (Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Trichophyton rubrum, Microsporum lanosum, Aspergillus niger); protozoa (Chlamydia trachomatis, Chlamydia pneumonia).

It is active concerning some viruses (a herpes simplex, flu). Increases functional activity of immune cells, stimulates a local nonspecific immune response, accelerates process of healing of wounds, reduces resistance of microorganisms to antibacterial drugs.

Indications to use:

- in surgery – in the 1st phase of a wound process for treatment of contaminated wounds various localization and genesis (a wound after surgical treatment of suppurative focuses, decubituses, trophic ulcers, the suppurated postoperative wounds, fistulas, etc.); in the 2nd phase of a wound process - for prevention of a reinfitsirovaniye of the granulating wounds;

- in Combustiology – for treatment of superficial and deep burns of II-IIIA of degree and frostbites, for preparation of burn wounds for an autodermoplastika;

- in dermatology – as a part of complex therapy at treatment strepto-and staphylodermas, candidiases of skin and mucous, mycoses of feet and large skin folds, including the disgidrotichesky forms and forms complicated by a pyoderma, dermatomycoses of smooth skin, an onychomycosis and keratomycoses, including a chromophytosis;

- at production and home accidents – for prevention of infectious complications.

Thanks to a wide range of antimicrobic action, drug is shown at the mixed bacterial and fungal infections, especially during an initial stage of treatment before identification of infestants.

Route of administration and doses:

Septomirin's gel is applied outwardly. After standard processing of wounds and burns drug is applied directly on the struck surface then apply a sterile gauze bandage, or apply gel on a dressing material, and then on a wound. рыхло fill with the tampons impregnated with drug cavities of purulent wounds after their surgical treatment. Medicine keeps sterility for not less than 7 days after opening of primary packaging (tuba).

At treatment of dermatological patients drug is applied with a thin layer on the damaged sites of skin several times in days or impregnate a gauze bandage with the subsequent its application on the center of defeat of 1 - 2 time a day before receiving negative takes of microbiological control. At common (extensive) forms of dermatomycoses, in particular rubromikoz, gel can be applied within 5-6 weeks as a part of complex therapy with antifungal drugs of systemic action.

Purpose of gel Septomirin is possible during pregnancy and in the period of a lactation according to indications since at external use system absorption of active agent is improbable. In pilot studies teratogenic and embriotoksichesky effect of drug is not revealed.

Side effects:

In some cases at treatment of burns and trophic ulcers drug can cause the feeling of easy burning which is passing independently and not demanding use of analgetics and drug withdrawal.

Interaction with other medicines:

Medicinal interactions are not described.

Contraindications:

Individual intolerance of components of drug.

Overdose:
