Description:
Streptoderma – the disease caused by streptococci and which is characterized by formation of the pinkish shelled roundish spots.
Streptoderma symptoms:
The spots which are formed at this skin disease can be various sizes, gradually their diameter reaches 3-4 cm; as a rule, they have weak-pink color, rounded shape. Spots become covered by melkoplastinchaty scales. They are localized especially often on a face (then a disease call "idle time deprive of the person"), is more rare – on a back, buttocks, extremities, and occur usually at boys of 7-10 years. Spots leave behind a temporary depigmentation. Sometimes on skin the microvesicles filled with serous or serous and purulent contents are formed.
Subjective feelings at the patient usually are not observed, but the small skin itch, a xeroderma can sometimes disturb him; fervescence, a hyperadenosis is possible.
The streptoderma in a chronic form is characterized by a recurrent current and development big in size (diameter of 5-10 cm) of the centers of defeat of integuments. The centers represent accurately delimited spots with uneven, scalloped edges and the corneous layer of epidermis exfoliating at the edges; most often they are localized on shins. On skin there are bubbles after which opening large crusts of yellowish-brown color are formed. After removal on site of a crust the bright pink erosion from which surface serous and purulent exudate plentifully separates is found. Between a recurrence formation of new bubbles stops, instead of crusts the peeling centers with gray-yellow scales are formed.
Long existence of the infectious center, and also raised thereof sensitivity of an integument to microbes can be led to transition of a disease from a chronic streptoderma in microbic eczema. Characteristic signs of this process are emergence of eczematic wells, change of borders of the centers of defeat (at eczema they become uneven, indistinct).
Streptoderma reasons:
Infection with a streptoderma occurs at close contact with the sick person. The incubation interval of a disease lasts about 7 days. The chronic form can arise about the wounds and ulcers which are not healing during a long span. Besides, the factors provoking development of a disease in a chronic form is the following: a varicosity, the long cooling of extremities leading to increase in a sensitization of skin to streptococcal and staphylococcal infections.
Treatment of the Streptoderma:
At treatment of a streptoderma antiseptic drugs, anti-inflammatory drugs and antibacterial therapy are used. To the patient ointments with antibiotics – erythromycin, geliomitsinovy are appointed; бактробан, Hyoxysonum, lorindenm of C. Sometimes do to sick inoculations from a streptococcus.
The bubbles appearing at a chronic form of a disease need to be opened; bandages with disinfectants are applied the becoming wet erosion. In process of subsiding of inflammatory process disinfecting ointments are appointed. At the end of treatment the sulfur-tar ointments liquidating residual inflammatory infiltration are shown.
