Zinc oxide ointment

Pharmacological properties:

Pharmacodynamics. Anti-inflammatory drug, renders the drying, adsorbing, knitting and antiseptic action. Forms albuminates and denatures proteins. When drawing reduces the phenomena of exudation, an inflammation and irritation of fabrics by the struck surface, forms a protective barrier from action of the irritating factors.

Indications to use:

"Diaper" dermatitis, an intertrigo, a heat rash, superficial wounds, burns, dermatitis, skin cankers, decubituses, eczema in an aggravation stage. As a part of complex therapy at a herpes simplex, a streptoderma, trophic ulcers.

Route of administration and doses:

Outwardly. To wash up and dry up the struck area. Ointment is applied a thin layer on affected areas of skin of 4-6 times a day. A course of treatment - up to 1 month. The amount of the applied ointment depends on extensiveness of the center of defeat. At treatment of burns and wounds - apply a bandage with ointment. Preventively at children process drug the body parts which are in long contact with wet linen.
